The Kaduna State Government said more than two dozens of bandits were reportedly neutralized on Wednesday in an aerial mission over Ungwan Nacibi in Birnin Gwari local government area.
This was reported by the air component of Operation Thunder Strike (OPTS).
According to the State Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan operational feedback from the security agencies disclosed that the aircraft conducted successful interdictions at the identified bandits’ location and the strikes were well on target.
Aruwan said several bandits were confirmed neutralized by the air strike.
He said Governor Nasir el-Rufai noted the feedback with thanks and commended the crew for a successful mission.
The commissioner also stated that monitoring of the area by security patrols would continue.
