Kaduna govt dissmises reports of alleged kidnapping of Kano traders along Kaduna-Abuja road

The Kaduna State Government, on Thursday, dissmised reports by some blogs and websites, alleging that an unspecified number of traders from Kano State were kidnapped on the Kaduna-Abuja Road.

In a statement, the State Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan said the Federal security agencies operating on the Kaduna-Abuja Road, had not reported any such incident.

He further stated that from all checks conducted so far by the State Government, the alleged kidnapping occurred elsewhere in another state.

Aruwan said the Government, as the most credible source of security updates to the citizenry and the media, aimed to continue in this role to promote accountability and transparency.
