The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has issued a nationwide alert, declaring former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, as a wanted man.
“The allegations against him are grave, involving economic and financial crimes amounting to a staggering N80.2 billion,” the Commission said.
This declaration, made on Thursday, April 18th, 2024, marks a significant escalation in the ongoing battle against corruption in the country.
The EFCC has urged the public to come forward with any information that could lead to Bello’s apprehension.
“Citizens are implored to reach out to the Commission directly or contact their local Police Station immediately if they have any leads on his whereabouts.”
The announcement has sent shockwaves through the political landscape, prompting questions about the extent of corruption and the measures needed to root it out.
As the search for Yahaya Bello intensifies, all eyes are on the authorities to ensure that justice is served and accountability upheld.
