The Majority Leader of Anambra State House of Assembly, Nnamdi Okafor, is dead.
He reportedly died in South Africa.
Okafor, who was in South Africa on official assignment together withndonevof his colleagues, was said to have slumped in the morning of Tuesday in a hotel at Sandton City, Johannesburg.
He was confirmed dead some hours later.
Before his death, Okafor represented Awka South Constituency 1 in the Anambra State House of Assembly.
AIF media said the lawmaker was in South Africa along with other House of Assembly members for a legislative retreat.
The cause of his death had yet to be ascertained as of the time of this report.
