Content creator recounts bank rejection of dollar notes after star-studded traditional wedding to Jarvis
Popular Nigerian content creator and streamer, Habeeb Hamzat, better known as Peller, has sparked heavy conversations online after revealing that nearly $30,000 of the dollar cash sprayed on him during his traditional wedding turned out to be counterfeit.
The TikToker made the revelation during a livestream session with one of his American gifters, describing how what he thought was a windfall turned into an embarrassing moment at the bank.

Peller and fellow viral AI-TikTok influencer Jarvis, Elizabeth Amadou, recently held a glamorous, star-studded traditional wedding that trended across social media.
Following the ceremony, Peller said he took the foreign currency he received to the bank to deposit it.
To his dismay, bank officials examined the notes and rejected them as fake.
Detailing what happened, Peller said: “I went to the bank, and the Nigerian money was genuine. I saw that a lot of people gave me Nigerian currency. Yes, they gave me Nigerian currency, and that is good. I know the people who gave me genuine money; if I see them, I will recognise them.”
He continued: “When they came, I saw them. They gave me fake money. I got home, I was feeling like a millionaire and used the money to make a video. ‘Hello, hello,’ and then I realised it was fake. I can’t talk.”

Visibly pained, Peller questioned the practice of spraying counterfeit notes at events.
“Since I went to change dollars yesterday night, I haven’t talked about the dollars since this morning, not even tonight. Is it by force to spray money?” he asked.
“Is it by force to spray money at someone’s wedding…?” he added, calling out what he described as clout-chasing behavior by some guests.
Peller said he had refrained from discussing the dollar issue since the bank incident, noting he didn’t want to keep talking about it. He did not name the individuals he alleged gave him the fake currency.
He however noted that he could identify some guests who gave him genuine Nigerian currency.
