Benue State governor-elect, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, has been receiving congratulatory messages from individuals and groups since the declaration of the result of last Saturday’s Governorship and State Assembly elections in the state.
The latest congratulatory message came from the President of a non-governmental organisation, Ior Gboko Foundation, Mr. Jimmy Ajim.
He felicitated Fr Alia on his election as the 6th Executive Governor of Benue State.
In the congratulatory message, made available to THE CONCLAVE on Tuesday, Mr. Ajim, on behalf of the IGF, described Fr Alia’s overwhelming victory as “an indication that the Benue people have reposed confidence in you.”
“As an organization focused on progress and development, I wish to assure you of our resolve to collaborate with your incoming administration for the general well being of our people,” he said.
The organisation also expressed its belief and confidence that the governor-elect and his Deputy, Dr Sam Ode, would deliver on their promises, which they made to the people of the state during their campaigns.
