Insecurity: Senator Smart Adeyemi asks FG to set aside ego and seek help of other countries (+Video)
A member of the Nigerian Senate, Smart Adeyemi (Kogi West) has advised the Federal Government to set aside its ego and seek foreign help in fighting the rising insecurity in the country.
Adeyemi got emotional on Tuesday and stressed that the current security challenges in the country were an indication that the nation’s security architecture had collapsed.
He said: “We cannot continue to deceive ourselves, the security architecture of this country has collapsed. Our security agencies are overwhelmed.
“People are being killed everyday, no one is safe again. It is not a matter of ego. The federal government must forget about its ego and seek foreign assistance, we cannot continue like this.”
