Kano State Government has announced restriction of tricycle operations, popularly known as Adaidaita Sahu, in the state.
This was made known via a statement issued by the Kano State Commissioner of Information, Muhammad Garba, on Monday.
Garba stated that tricycle operators are banned from operating in Kano State by 10:00pm.
According to the commissioner, the ban will be effective from Thursday, July 21, 2022.
Garba, who said the decision was reached at the end of the state’s security meeting, noted that the measure was part of the state government’s efforts to ensure security of lives and property in Kano State.
The commissioner urged tricycle operators to comply and stop operating at the stipulated time, noting that security agents would enforce the ban without compromise.
