“The House further notes that in most recent times, Bagudo LGA and Kebbi State as a whole has witnessed attacks by bandits in different parts of Kebbi State amongst other states of the Federation.

“The House is informed that on Thursday 27th November, 2025, the Lakurawa bandits attacked a Nigeria Immigration Service outpost at Bakin Ruwa which led to the death of three personnel of the Nigeria Immigration Service.

“The House is also informed that on the 19th October, 2025, bandits attacked a Nigeria Police outpost at Maje, Bagudo LGA Kebbi State and killed one Police Officer.

“The House is worried that there seems to be an attempt by the Lakurawa Bandits to make the Soda Forest, Bagudo LGA, Kebbi State a hideout and base from where they will carry out their destructive activities.

“The House is also worried that the bandits are similarly making the hills in Suru LGA, Kebbi State another operational base where they hide their victims when they kidnap them from other parts of Kebbi North.

“The House is convinced that there is an urgent need for a joint clearance operation especially by the Nigerian Air Force, Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police & other Security Agencies to clear the Lakurawa Bandits from the Soda Forest, Bagudo L.G.A and the hills in Suru LGA and also to generally prevent bandits from setting up camps in any part of Kebbi State,” he said.
