The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the resumption of the third and final phase of the nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise in Bayelsa State.

In a press statement issued by
Utong, Awajionyi, Deputy Director/Head of Department, Voter Education, Publicity, Gender & Inclusivity, INEC Bayelsa State, the exercise will commence on Monday, May 11, 2026, and run through Friday, July 10, 2026.

According to the statement, daily registration will take place between 9:00am and 3:00pm, Monday to Friday, at all INEC Local Government Area offices across the eight LGAs.

The statement noted that physical and in-person capture will be extended on a rotational basis to various registration areas (RAs) and wards, while both online pre-registration and on-site registration will be available throughout the period.

The Commission explained that the Phase III CVR is designed to provide eligible Nigerians who are yet to register, as well as those wishing to transfer or update their voter information, the final opportunity to do so ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

INEC called on all critical stakeholders, political parties, civil society organisations, the media, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and the general public to extend maximum support and cooperation for a hitch-free and peaceful exercise.
