In line with the new Manpower Development Policy of the Nigeria Police Force, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba has ordered the posting and redeployment of 24 Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) to zonal commands and formations.
In a statement, Public Relations Officer Force Headquarters, Abuja, Frank Mba said AIG Zaki M. Ahmed now heads AIG SPU FHQ Abuja, AIG Mustapha Danduara will man Zone 4 Makurdi, Benue State, while AIG Dansuki D. Gakafanchi takes over CTU FHQ Abuja.
Others include, AIG Okon Etim Ene (Zone 17 Akure, Ondo State); AIG Usman D. Nagogo (Border Patrol FHQ Abuja; AIG Bala Ciroma (Zone 7 Abuja).
Others are AIG Adeleke Adeyinka Bode (Zone 9 Umuahia); AIG Muri Umar Musa (Zone 13 Ukpo-Dunukofia Akwa); AIG Lawal Jimeta Tanko (Commandant POLAC Wudil-Kano); AIG Usman Alhassan Belel (FCID Annex Lagos); AIG Adebola Emmanuel Longe (DOPS FHQ Abuja); AIG Musa Adze (Investment FHQ Abuja); AIG Philip Sule Maku (DICT FHQ Abuja); AIG Usman Sule Gonna (Zone 6 Calabar); AIG Adamu Usman (Cooperative); AIG Daniel Sokari-Pedro (Zone 3 Yola); AIG Ahmed Mohammed Azare (DTD FHQ Abuja); AIG Maigana Alhaji Sani (FCID Annex Kaduna); AIG Audu Madaki (Zone 12 Bauchi); AIG John Ogbonnaya Amadi (Maritime Lagos); AIG Ede Ayuba Ekpeji (Zone 8 Lokoja, Kogi State); AIG Mohammed L. Bagega (Armament FHQ Abuja); AIG Bello Makwasi (Zone 15 Maiduguri) and AIG Balarabe Abubakar (Works FHQ Abuja).
Mba said the IGP has assured the nation that the posting and redeployment of the senior police officers will further help in driving the new policing vision, which amongst other things, is targeted at improving policing services across the country and effectively responding to security threats in the country.
He said the posting and the redeployment of the Senior Police Officers is with immediate effect.
