As Muslims all over the world celebrate Eid-el-Kabir today, July 31, the Executive Chairman, Isokan South Local Council Development Area of Osun State, Hon. Wasiu Oyetunji Oyelami, has enjoined the people not to violate the NCDC protocols guiding towards COVID-19 pandemic.
Hon. Oyelami made this known in a Sallah message issued and made available to Journalists in Osogbo, the state capital.
The Chairman said Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the state had done a lot by providing a good environment for the citizenry in order not to contract the pandemic.
Hon. Oyelami added that the Osun state government had taken a proactive measure, including the local government to ensure that there was adequate protection for the residents.
According to the Chairman, “As you are celebrating Sallah today, make sure you observe social distancing, wear face mask, wash your hand with soap and always sanitizing your hand.”
Hon. Oyelami, in his Sallah message, congratulated the governor of the state, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, his wife, Alhaja Kafayat and the entire family, the Olukoyi of Ikoyi land, Oba Yisau Bantale Oyetunji Otunla, Kodaolu 1 and the entire Olukoyi in Council and all Muslim brothers and sisters, among others, in the council area.
“I want you all to use the celebration to pray to God to continue to be protecting everyone of us and also use the period to remember those who are in need by extending our hand of fellowship to them,” he added.
