The Ibibio Traditional Council in Akwa Ibom State has pledged its unwavering support for Senator Godswill Akpabio, President of the Senate, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The declaration was made during a courtesy visit by Akpabio and his entourage to the Nsit Ubium Palace of the Oku Ibom Ibibio, led by Ntenyin (Dr.) Solomon Daniel Etuk.
The Ibibio Monarch described Akpabio as “our son” and expressed pride in his achievements as Senate President.
He also commended Akpabio’s commitment to peace and unity in Akwa Ibom State, thanking President Tinubu for carrying Akpabio along in the administration.
The monarch urged Akpabio to ensure the realisation of Akwa Ibom State’s long-awaited seaport project.
Akpabio thanked the royal fathers for the warm reception, describing his visit as a major reconciliation move aimed at rekindling peace, love, and unity in Akwa Ibom State.
