Former FIRS Chairman Muhammad Nami has vowed not to disappear after elections as he campaigns for the Niger South Senatorial seat.
Speaking to APC stalwarts in Agaie and Katcha LGAs on Wednesday, the Niger South aspirant said he’s running on service, not deception.
“I am not seeking your votes to use you during elections and abandon you afterwards,” Nami said. “Leadership must be about responsibility, compassion, and measurable service.”
He backed the promise with education and water projects through his foundation, approved at a trustees’ meeting on April 17, 2026.
For Agaie, Kintifin, and Kintako, the package includes:
– JAMB fees for 100 students yearly for 10 years
– Sponsorship for 5 students annually to Police Secondary School, Nami, covering fees and WAEC/NECO
– Sponsorship for 3 students yearly to study Accountancy, ICT, or Medicine at IBBU Lapai
In Agaie town specifically, he pledged 5 boreholes, 5 motorcycles for vigilante groups, a solar borehole for the Central Mosque, and a badminton court.
Kintifin and Kintako will each get 5 boreholes for villages facing water shortages, plus solar boreholes for mosques. Kintako will also receive ₦20 million to complete its Central Mosque.
In Katcha LGA, Nami promised 15 boreholes across the town and communities, a solar borehole for the Central Mosque, and similar education support.
Local APC chairmen in Agaie and Katcha welcomed him and pledged a level playing field for all aspirants ahead of the primaries.
Nami is seeking to represent Niger South, Zone A, in the 2027 general elections.
