Adesola Akeem, husband of herbal vendor Eniola Fagbemi, popularly known as Sisi Alagbo, has publicly taken responsibility for the leaked video involving the couple and issued a wide-ranging apology.
The video, which went viral recently, showed the couple and another woman. Both Adesola and Sisi Alagbo have since expressed regret over the incident.
In a statement posted to his Facebook page, Adesola described his actions as “disappointing and embarrassing” and said they fell short of the standards expected of him.
“I write with a deep sense of responsibility and sincere remorse to extend my heartfelt apologies to my family, friends, business associates, religious leaders, fans, loved ones, and the entire Nigerian public over the recent incident involving a leaked scandal,” he wrote.
He added: “I acknowledge the disappointment, embarrassment, and concern this situation has caused, and I take full responsibility for my actions. I understand that my conduct has fallen short of the values and standards expected of me.”
Addressing his family, Adesola said: “I am truly sorry for the pain and distress this has brought upon you.” To friends and associates, he expressed regret for “any negative impact this may have had on our relationships and shared reputation.”
He also acknowledged religious and moral institutions, saying he recognizes “the weight of this misconduct and the need for accountability.” To fans and supporters, he said: “I deeply regret letting you down.”
Adesola said he is taking the moment for “reflection, learning, and personal growth” and pledged to make better decisions going forward.
“I am committed to rebuilding trust and upholding integrity in both my private and public life,” he wrote. “I humbly ask for your understanding, forgiveness, and continued prayers as I work to become a better individual.”
Sisi Alagbo had earlier acknowledged her role and asked for forgiveness, expressing deep regret over the video.
