The embattled speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa arrived at the assembly complex on Thursday, announcing that he was back in his rightful position.
Obasa announced this after returning to the Legislature for the first time since he was impeached and consequently removed on January 13, 2025.
Addressing pressmen, Obasa said he was on vacation and was never impeached and removed as nothing of such happened in the face of the law and in consonance wit legislative due process.
He faulted the process wherein he was reportedly ousted while on vacation outside the country.
