The House of Representatives on Thursday approved the 2026 statutory budget of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), following the consideration and adoption of the report presented by the relevant committee during plenary.
The approval followed the presentation of the report by the Chairperson of the House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission, Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu.
The House approved the 2026 budget of the Niger Delta Development Commission totalling N1,750,923,400,137.
A breakdown of the approved NDDC budget shows that N47,567,421,121 was allocated for personnel expenditure, while N49,929,253,117 was approved for overhead expenditure.
The House also approved N22,357,552,302 for internal capital expenditure and N1,631,069,173,597 for development projects across the Niger Delta region.
The approval followed the consideration of the report presented by the House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission chaired by Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu.
The House of Representatives on Thursday approved the 2026 statutory budgets of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), following the consideration and adoption of reports presented by relevant committees during plenary.
The approval followed the presentation of reports by the Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Capital Territory, Hon. Muktar Aliyu Betara, and the Chairperson of the House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission, Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu.
For the FCTA, the House approved a total expenditure of N2,285,098,676,153 for the 2026 financial year.
The approved sum comprises N165,775,220,839 for personnel costs, N378,231,411,697 for overhead costs, and N1,741,092,043,617 earmarked for capital projects.
The appropriation is to be drawn from the Federal Capital Territory Administration’s Statutory Revenue Fund for the service of the FCT for the financial year beginning January 1 and ending December 31, 2026.
The budget proposal was considered following the report of the Committees on Federal Capital Territory and Federal Capital Territory Area Councils and Ancillary Matters.
