In Group A, Rivers Angels and Nasarawa Amazons played out a goalless draw in the day’s opener, leaving Nasarawa Amazons with seven points from four matches and Rivers Angels on six.
Hosts and reigning NWFL champions Bayelsa Queens were held to a 1-1 by Imo Strikers in the second fixture.
The Prosperity Girls now share seven points with Nasarawa Amazons but lead the group on superior goal difference.
The day concluded with Bayelsa Princesses holding Edo Queens to a 0-0 stalemate.
The tournament now heads into its final round of group-stage matches on Friday, October 24, with all eyes on Samson Siasia Stadium for a packed schedule of crucial encounters.
Friday’s lineup begins at 8:00 a.m. with Imo Strikers taking on Delta Queens. At 10:00 a.m., Group A leaders Nasarawa Amazons face Bayelsa Queens in a top-of-the-table clash that could determine semifinal qualification.
The afternoon session kicks off at 2:00 p.m. with Edo Queens battling FC Robo Queens, followed by Heartland Queens versus Bayelsa Princesses at 4:00 p.m.
The semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, October 25, with the grand finale set for Sunday, October 26.
