Dear God,
You have said reverence for God gives a man deep strength, and what we need today are men with deep strength. Help us to build our firm foundation on Jesus Christ.
When everybody else is running the race for acquisitions, achievements, accomplishments, and appearance, help us to remember that what matters most is love —to love you and to love our wives, our kids, our families, our friends, and even our enemies.
Help us to remember, Jesus, that you said our care for others is the measure of our greatness. Help us to give our lives away and learn what it means to really live. We realize that everything else is going to pass away, but the man who does the will of God will live forever.
Most importantly, I pray you give your SON a new sense of courage—the courage to stand alone, be a man of honour, be strong, and do everything in love.
