Gunmen’s attack on Anambra Police Station claims three lives with sundry arms stolen

Three Police Inspectors were reportedly killed in the attack by gunmen on Ogidi Police Station in the central senatorial district of Anambra State.

A report by 247Ureports said that the attackers were members of the Biafra agitation group loyal to Simon Ekpa.

The report quoted a source to have said that the attackers arrived at the station in the “normal format” used by the agitators: they drove in sport utility vehicles and heavily tinted minivans.

The attackers killed three police officers – whose names were given as –Anselem O., Demon O., and Kynanee L.

In addition, the attackers raided the police station [Area Command] and carted away weapons.

The report said that about ten [10] AK-47 riffles were taken away by the attackers.

The attackers, according to the report, escaped unhurt.
