Cyril Mudiagbe, an aide of the Deputy Senate President and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has been shot dead.
Mudiagbe was reported to have been killed on Saturday night by gunmen in Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State.
The senator’s aide was attacked in his residence in the Decima area of the town.
A resident of the area, who identified himself as Lucky, disclosed that the gunmen “came to rob”.
“They first went to the plaza opposite the house before coming to this place,” he said.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Edafe Bright, said he had yet to be briefed on the incident.
