Gunmen have abducted a farm manager, Sani Ango, in what security officials have described as an isolated abduction incident in Kebbi State.

The kidnapping occurred around 2 a.m. on Thursday at a farmhouse in the Gwarin Baka area, in Ngaski Local Government Area.

A report by THE PUNCH said the victim was alone at the time, as other staff members had closed for the day.

The attackers reportedly fired shots into the air to scare nearby residents and deter any rescue attempt before taking Ango to an unknown location.

As of the time of this report, the abductors had not contacted the victim’s family, and his whereabouts remained unknown.

Efforts to reach the Kebbi State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Nafiu Abubakar, for comments were unsuccessful, as calls and messages went unanswered.

Ngaski Local Government Area has not previously been identified among the areas of Kebbi State with a high incidence of banditry or kidnapping.
