The Osun State Government has approved a new minimum wage of N75,000 for civil servants.
Details of the deal and payment of arrears as well as the implementation date remained unclear as of press time.
The Commissioner for Information, Kolapo Alimi, confirmed that Governor Ademola Adeleke approved the new wage following recommendations by a committee led by the Chief of Staff, Kazeem Akinleye, and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Chairman, Comrade Chris Arapasopo.
However, Alimi did not provide any information about when the arrears would be paid or when the new minimum wage would take effect.
