Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, said he was undergoing routine health checks as a precaution after a road crash but confirmed that he was “in good health and high spirits.”
He expressed gratitude to residents of the state and well-wishers across Nigeria for their prayers and concerns following the minor road accident on the Daura–Katsina highway.
The incident, which occurred on the night of Sunday, July 20, involved the Governor’s convoy as he was returning from an engagement in Daura.
No serious injuries were reported.
In a short live video broadcast from his residence on Monday, Governor Radda addressed the public, assuring them of his safety and well-being.
“By the will of Allah, we were tested with a car accident—but Alhamdulillah, we came out safe and unharmed,” he said.
The Governor concluded his message with a warm thank you to all those who reached out in concern.
“Once again, thank you for your heartfelt prayers. Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullah,” he said.
