Gov. Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau has congratulated ex-Gov. Jonah Jang on his 80th birthday anniversary.
Mutfwang congratulated Jang in a statement by Dr Gyang Bere, the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the governor on Sunday in Jos.
Mufwang described Jang as the architect of modern Plateau and a reliable and dependable elder statesman.
He further described Jang as a strong pillar of support, exceptional mentor, spiritual and political leader who continually guides many to serve God and humanity in sincerity.
“I celebrate a great leader, a father, figure to Plateau and a man whose life reflects deep faith in God and unwavering service to humanity.

“As you mark your 80th birthday, I join your family, the Church, and the good people and government of Plateau in thanking God for your remarkable life of service, dedication and purpose.
“Your life stands as a shining example of integrity, courage and commitment to the collective good.
“Indeed, you are a symbol worthy of emulation, a beacon of hope, a father of modern Plateau and a passionate advocate for the progress and unity of Plateau and the entire Middle Belt.” Mutfwang said.
The governor prayed God to grant Jang long life, good health, wisdom and strength to continue offering his invaluable counsel that would propel lasting growth and prosperity of Plateau and Nigeria at large.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Jang, a retired Air Commodore, served as military governor of old Gongola and Benue states.
He was later elected as the civilian governor of Plateau and served between 2007 and 2015.
Jang also represented Plateau North Senatorial District at the National Assembly between 2015 and 2019.
