Godiya: God spared my life and those of Tambuwal, Imoke, Oyinlola, others in potential plane crash, By Ehigie Uzamere  

Yes, I have every reason to thank God for the year 2022, which by His grace, will slide into history in a few hours’ time. The year started for me on full throttle as a politician and family man. There were hopes and aspirations. There were fears and anxieties, but in all, God remained ever faithful in fulfilment of my heart’s desires and for which I praise and honour Him.

Being a precursor to election year, I was fully involved, with our principal Atiku Abubakar, in a criss-cross of the country before our Party’s presidential primaries. To the glory of God, it was a smooth sail for us all in the PDP family, especially as Atiku Abubakar clinched the Party’s Presidential ticket in spite of all the political intrigues.

In the last month of the year, God yet showed me mercy as He spared my life and those of Gov Aminu Tambuwal, Gov Liyel Imoke, and Gov Olagunsoye Oyinlola and others. The aircraft we were in, and about to take off, after a successful rally in Awka, Anambra State, had a spark in one of the engines. One can only, but imagine if that spark had happened in mid-flight.

Despite the ups and downs, the year 2022 held her fulfilment, and I remain eternally grateful to God for His mercies upon me, my family, my loved ones, and my political family.

As we see the breaking dawn of 2023 in a few hours, I pray that God crowns our efforts with success. May He give us victory at the Presidential polls in February, that through our stewardship, Nigeria will witness positive growth, for which God will be glorified. May God give us the wisdom to elect into office, men and women of good character that would play positive assist, in nation building.
