A CCTV footage doing the rounds in the social media has shown how a girl purportedly set the multi-million naira Ebeano Supermarket on fire.
The incident happened penultimate Saturday. Nothing was salvaged from the massive building and items that were once bright and beautiful.
Sitting pretty at a location close to a junction, beside Brooksville Hotel and Suites, where four roads link at the popular Lokogoma axis, a stone’s throw from Wumba, Apo District, the ruins of Ebeano Supermarket continued to emit smoke two days after the tragic incident.
A girl, donning black T-Shirt, with an inscription on the front side, on a pair of black jeans trousers, with a pair of slippers, sauntered in leisurely and went straight to the section having gas cylinders and cookers, picked a lighter and lit it up, placing it strategically where it would spread fast.
As soon as she did that, she strolled out, acting as if she had not done anything.
And pronto! The fire began and spread, leaving Ebeano supermarket in ruins.
