Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, made his first public appearance on Sunday, five days after his suspension from office.

Fubara was seen attending a service at Salvation Ministry in Port Harcourt, where he regularly worships, thus ending the rash of speculations about his whereabouts.

One report had said the he and famy members had moved into the Bayelsa State Government House, Yenagoa.

The governor was reportedly warmly received by a senior pastor who ushered him into the church to participate in the service.

His arrival was marked by a notably modest convoy, devoid of the official flag or seal of the governor’s office.

Fubara’s appearance comes amid ongoing political tension in Rivers State over the proclamation of an emergency rule in the oil-rich state.
