The Sector Commander of Osun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps Commander, Paul J. Okpe has extended synergy to Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme OYES on road safety and their corporate strategic goals.
Commander Okpe made this known during his courtesy visit to the OYES Commandant Colonel EniIbukun Oyewole (rtd), at the OYES Headquarters in the state capital, Osogbo on Friday.
The FRSC Sector Commander, who recently resumed office at the FRSC RS11.1 Osun Command reiterated that, the Federal Road Safety Corps is committed to creating a safer motoring environment through compliance with the FRSC (Establishment) Act 2007, other traffic laws and quality management system standards with a view to continually improving its mode of operations.
Okpe noted that the outfit is ready to work with sister agencies in Osun State towards the service delivery of ensuring safety on the highway and protecting lives of motorists by compliance with safety regulations by all.
In his remarks, the Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme (OYES), Commandanté Colonel EniIbukun Oyewole (rtd), pointed out that the Youth Scheme which had been in existence for about 10years has large percentage of its cadets as Traffic Marshals, working through the Office of Transportation in the State.
He reiterated that OYES will continue to collaborate with the FRSC towards prompt service delivery targeted at the core objectives of the command in the State.
Commandante Oyewole told the Osun Sector Commander Okpe to always count on OYES on related matters towards protecting the citizenry and maintaining order on the highway.
