Former President Goodluck Jonathan has described his ascent to the presidency as a “political miracle,” attributing his swift rise from deputy governor to president within four years to divine intervention.

Speaking at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs in Lagos during the presentation of books authored by Dr. Reuben Abati, Jonathan’s former presidential spokesperson, he expressed gratitude to God for making his journey possible.

The event, attended by notable figures including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Hassan Kukah, and several other dignitaries, featured the launch of three books written by Abati: “Portraits: People, Politics and Society,” “How Goodluck Jonathan Became President,” and “A Love Letter and Other Stories.”

In his remarks, Obasanjo praised Abati’s growth and maturity, highlighting the importance of truth in personal achievement and national development.
