A former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, is set to declare his interest in contesting for the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Sundry media reports said that the senator representing Ogun central was expected to announce his presidential bid at an event scheduled to take place on May 5.
“Everything is set. He will formally declare his bid on May 5,” a source reportedly close to the development was quoted to have said.
Once he declares and picks the presidential nomination form, Amosun will be locking horns with the likes of Vice-president Yemi Osinbajo, Bola Tinubu, Rochas Okorocha, David Umahi, Yahaya Bello, Rotimi Amaechi, Chris Nigige, Ken Nnamani, Orji Uzor Kalu, for the party’s presidential ticket.
