A former chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Sam Amadi has threatened to file a lawsuit against the spokesperson of the Bola Tinubu presidential campaign council, Femi Fani-Kayode.

Amadi, in a letter forwarded to Fani-Kayode, accused him of making wrong assertions about him and, in the process, disparaged his character in a post on his Twitter account.

Fani-Kayode, in a post on his Twitter account, had claimed that Amadi used the Chief Justice of Nigeria’s picture in a wheelchair and claimed that he was on his way to see President-elect in the UK.

He wrote, “Creatures like one Sam Amadi who used the CJN’s picture in a wheelchair & claimed he was on his way to see the President-elect in the UK for a meeting about the 2023 presidential election should not only be invited by the DSS & NPF, investigated & charged to court for defamation, criminal falsehood and incitement but they should also have pictures of their ugly faces printed on toilet paper & used to clean dirty but-holes.”

Amadi, however, stated that he did not at any point state that the CJN met with Tinubu in a post on his Twitter account.

He called on Fani-Kayode to apologise for his statement against him and delete the post on his Twitter account.
