The Ibaji Unity Forum in Nigeria and the diaspora has sent a letter of appreciation to the Catholic community in Idah, Kogi state, His lordship, Most Reverend Dr Anthony Ademu Adaji, the Catholic Bishop of Idah Diocese over the timely interventions in the evacuation and provision of accommodation as well as food to their helpless kinsmen spread across 10 wards of the local government area. The church rescued residents from the flood.
A statement signed by the President and Secretary of the forum, Barrister Stephen Uchola and Engineer Henry Akoje, said that the usual practice by the Catholic Diocese of Idah was a demonstration of evangelism through charity, a feat they had sustained over the years.
The Ibaji Unity Forum asserted that the on-the-spot assessment to ascertain the level of damages showed the humanitarian gesture and timely interventions by the Catholic Diocese which saved the people of Ibaji from a lot critical conditions.
The forum used the opportunity to expressed deepest appreciation to the Catholic community for her continuous show of love to the Ibaji communities.
