Fire on Sunday gutted a 10-storey building on Broad Street on Lagos Island.
However, the cause of the fire and casualties had yet to be known as of press time.
Mrs Margaret Adeseye, the Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, disclosed the incident on Sunday.
The well-known Mandilas building in the neighbourhood was shaken by the fire, which started on the first story and spread to the fourth.
Adeseye said emergency personnel from the Sari-Iganmu and Ebute Elefun fire stations are on the scene in an effort to stop the situation from getting worse and restore order.
