Federal University Lokoja promotes 13 academic staff to professor, five others to associate professor

The Senate of Federal University Lokoja (FUL), at its 73rd Meeting held between 1st and 2nd November, 2022, announced the promotion of 13 Academic Staff from the rank of Associate Professor/Reader to full Professor, while others were promoted from the rank of Senior Lecture to Associate Professor/Reader.

The promotion follows the positive responses received from the external assessments of their publications.

The announcement was made by the Vice-Chancellor and Chairman, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi on the floor of Senate which took place on Wednesday at the Permanent Site of the University.

The distinguished scholars promoted are as follows: Prof. Olajide Ifedayo Ibietan – Department of Public Administration, Prof. Musilimu Adeyinka Adetunji – Department of Geography, Prof. Olalekan Wasiu Salawu – Department of Chemistry, Prof. Isabona Joseph – Department of Physics, Prof. Ebenezer Ejaloribu Lawal – Department of Political Science, Prof. Joseph Yinka Fashagba – Department of Political Science, Prof. Ofurie Odede Maria Aito – Department of English and Literary Studies, Prof. Lawal Olarewaju Adesina – Department of English Language & Literary Studies, Prof. Jeremiah Ayok – Department of Geology, Prof. Suberu Ochi Abduhahman – Department of History and International Studies, Prof. Abdullahi Musa Yusufu – Department of History and International Studies, Prof. Imoni Sunday Obomeviekome – Department of Mathematics and Prof. Edgar Osgaghe – Department of Computer Science.
