The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has approved the commencement of title issuance to individual and organisational beneficiaries of property located on mass housing estates across the FCT.

The process is scheduled to begin on 21st April, 2025.

This development marks a critical step in the Administration’s ongoing efforts to formalise property ownership and provide legal documentation to subscribers under the Mass Housing Programme.

The Department of Land Administration, in a public notice, has called on all mass housing developers to submit formal applications for the issuance of land titles on their estates.

It said that the application must be accompanied by the following:

Documents of grant of land (Right of Occupancy or Letter of Intent);

Approved land use and site development plans;

Approved building plans and Letters of Conveyance;

As-built surveys endorsed by registered surveyors;

Survey data of all individual plots;

A comprehensive list of beneficiaries including house types, addresses, and plot particulars;

Executed Development Lease Agreements;

Compensation payment certificates (where applicable);

Evidence of payment of all statutory fees;

Soft copies of the key documents listed above.

The FCTA has made it clear that only applications with complete documentation will be processed. Additional documentation may be requested where necessary during the evaluation process.

This exercise is expected to strengthen property rights, boost investor confidence, and enhance land administration within the FCT.
