Human rights advocate Femi Falana, SAN, along with lawyers Maxwell Opara and Deji Adeyanju, escorted Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, Comrade Joe Ajaero, to the Force Headquarters in Abuja for questioning in respect of sundry allegations, including terrorism financing.

Initially, the NLC had planned to rally its members to accompany Ajaero to the Police Headquarters in a show of solidarity.
However, Falana, who is the NLC’s legal counsel, advised the workers to stay at the Labour House to prevent any potential disorder in and around the Police premises.
Falana assured the workers that the situation would be expertly handled by his legal team and other lawyers present.
Meanwhile, a detachment of police officers was seen near the Labour House as union members awaited updates on the situation.
Labour leaders had, on Thursday morning, converged on the headquarters of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in solidarity with Joe Ajaero.
Ajaero was being expected to visit the Police facility by 10:am on Thursday following his decline of the invitation first sent to him to report a week ago.
As early as 8:am, the Labour leaders started converging on the NLC HQ to rally support for the number one worker in the country.
