The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission has arrested some job applicants for presenting forged certificates and academic records for employment with it.
According to the anti-graft agency, the applicants were nabbed on Tuesday during its ongoing recruitment.
Some of the false documents presented during the interview sessions, according to the spokesperson of the ICPC, Azuka Ogugua, included declarations of age, school certificates and other documentation that showed evidence of tampering.
Ogugua said the act was contrary to and punishable under Section 25 (1) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act 2000.
The suspects had been detained and were being investigated by the Commission, she said.
