An Italy-based Nigerian, Francis Onabis, has advised that the Tinubu-led administration should do all within its means to hasten the process of ending insecurity bedeviling the country so as to create confidence in foreign investors willing to do business in Nigeria.

Onabis, in a statement made available to the media in Abuja, said: “it is impossible and difficult to genuine direct foreign investors to Nigeria where even the citizens can no longer sleep as a result of security concerns.”

He said security agencies in the country must be made to coordinate their efforts in bringing the country back to her past glory.

According to him, aside from security concerns, “the cost of doing business in Nigeria has become so expensive causing those in Nigeria already to flee to neighbouring countries especially when there is no steady power, putting the country in near perpetual darkness.”

He advised that “a new Police formation be established in all the wards of Nigeria with a special mandate to monitor strange persons coming into those areas for easy assessment of their characters.

“All houses must be enumerated with proper street naming to aid security monitoring.”

According to Onabis, “Nigeria has the potential of being great again with the right leaders made to be at the helm of affairs.”

He recommended the total scrapping of the three old refineries.

“Those refineries are now becoming drain pipes and should be scrapped” he said.

On Edo governorship election, he advised the incumbent Governor and his deputy to stop the current squabbles between them and face the challenges ahead of them by making the state better than they met it.
