A frontline aspirant for Esan West/Esan Central/Igueben Federal Constituency seat, Edo State, Hon. Elizabeth Onome Ebosele on Thursday picked both her expression of interest and nomination forms to set the stage for an epic battle for the ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

She stormed the venue of the form collection desk at the International Conference Centre, ICC, about 12 noon in company with an APC woman leader in Edo State, Lady Golda Osikhena and her colleagues in the office of the Minister of State for Budget and National Planning where is she is a Technical Adviser (Budget and Planning).

Those on the delegation included Special Assistant to the Minister on Administration, Dr Philip Ugbodaga and Special Assistant to the Minister (Intergovernmental Affairs), Malam Abdulraham Rajab Naibi.

Ebosele said she was happy to have been able to take what she described as this important step which “is a clear expression of my readiness to offer myself for service in the legislature.”

Addressing the press shortly after collecting the forms, the House of Reps hopeful declared that “having laid my hands on the plough, there is looking back.”

“I am sharply focused on the task of dismantling the agelong myth that has inexplicably kept women out of stepping out to seek to represent our people in elective positions.

“I am not just coming out fir the sake of it; I am out to offer better service in legislative representation to my federal constituency.

“There are so many things that I have set out to do using the platform of the House of Reps seat, which I seek to occupy, and the instrumentality of necessary legislative imperatives by ways of consequential lobbying to attract infrastructure development to the Constituency and sponsorship of bills and motions to promote good governance.

“And, of course, I am depending on the support of the good people of my Constituency and the delegates to be able to emerge, first, as a candidate and second, as winner of the House of Reps seat in the general election.”
