Election: Person-to-Person Africa urges electorate to shun violence, vote credible candidates

Less than 72 hours to the Presidential and National Assembly elections, Founder of the Person-To-Person Africa, Joi John said that the organization had been launched in Abuja, Nigeria at the auspicious time to mobilize voters to vote for credible candidates.

She said that Person-To-Person Africa, a pro-community organization, was set up with the goal to sensitize and galvanize vulnerable communities across Africa to access socio-economic development.

The organization urged the electorate to shun violence during the polls, saying that the goal was to create a safe and inclusive environment for all citizens, no matter their background or identity.

She said: “We are committed to listening to the unique needs of each community.

“We believe that by working together, we can create a more equitable and just society. We look forward to making a positive and lasting impact in Nigeria and beyond.”

Shadow U.S. Representative of the District of Columbia, Dr Oye Owolewa commended Person-To- Person Africa on the initiative to galvanize people to vote ahead of the Nigerian general elections.

Also, a member of the Georgia House of Representatives, Segun Adeyina, representing District 110, stressed the importance of Nigerians to exercise their right to vote.

Adeyina lauded Person-To – Person Africa on its advocacy efforts and for their call for citizens to vote for credible candidates.

Person-To-Person Africa aims to partner relevant stakeholders to develop initiatives in education and health and governance issues to create an inclusive and sustainable future for everyone.
