Former Governor of Ekiti and a leading governorship aspirant on the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, platform, Chief Segun Oni has rejoiced with and congratulated Muslim Ummah in Ekiti State, Nigeria and worldwide on the occasion of the 2021 Eid-el-Maulud, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
In a statement he personally signed, the former governor prayed that “the nation shall be inspired to seek the rebirth of quality leadership, quality thinking and quality ideas.”
He said further: “In this season of politics, permit me to use the significance of this celebration to urge the people and political stakeholders in the country to be conscientious, purposeful and deliberate in finding and supporting good leaders with proven track records at all levels who will work selflessly and assiduously to salvage the country.
“Our country is in dire need of quality leaderships at all levels of government who can learn from the giant strides recorded by Prophet Muhammad to do something extraordinary in the remaking of Nigeria.
