The Osun State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Gboyega Famodun, has felicitated with the state Governor Gboyega Oyetola and all Muslims of the party’s extraction in the state over this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.
Famodun in a statement issued by his Media Consultant, Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo and made available to our Correspondent, stated that the Oyetola administration is a product of ceaseless prayers right from its inception to date.
The state party chairman disclosed that it was prayers that guided the conception of Governor Oyetola to administer the state just as the name of his campaign organisation explicitly expresses, i.e. “the promise of God”.
Famodun hinted that it was this pillar of prayers upon which the Oyetola government is erected that has been sustaining it and assisting it to provide dividends of democracy for all and sundry across the state.
He said that it won’t be an overstatement to submit that the Oyetola administration has been recording superlative successes in various aspects of its expected statutory duties to the people of the state through ceaseless prayers.
Famodun explained further that the political adversaries of Governor Oyetola are surprised at the level of his identified and recorded successes as the man at the apex of authority in the state.
It is on this note that the state party chairman is enjoining all and sundry to keep on praying for the continuous output of the state government in the interest of the sustainability of the ongoing performing administration of the state.
The state party chairman also reminded the Islamic faithful in the state to celebrate the Sallah with moderation without causing havoc to either themselves or any other members of the society.
Famodun reiterated that it is important for the Muslim brothers and sisters across the state to act in tandem with the mastery of the state government guidelines in respect of the subsisting global coronavirus pandemic that is threatening the existence of mankind.
According to him, “it is by keeping the government regulations on COVID-19 pandemic that the government can be assisted immensely in checkmating the spread of the deadly.
“It is my fervent wish and prayers that the citizenry of our state shall celebrate more Sallahs in good health and accomplished aspirations in all ramifications in the future”.
The Osun APC chairman also advised the Islamic faithful to discourage borrowing money for the celebration of the important pillars of Islam, adding that “it’s easier to borrow while repayment of same is always not with palatable stories”.
