EFCC nabs 17 suspected internet fraudsters in Benue

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested 17 suspected internet fraudsters in Makurdi, the capital of Benue.

A statement on Sunday by the EFCC Head of Media, Wilson Uwujaren, said they were nabbed following actionable intelligence.

The suspects are Emmanuel Victor, Joseph Adoyr Ameh, Olamide Timothy, Augestine Adalache, Izuka Justin, Boniface Dudoo, Udechukwu Benedict, Emmanuel Igbo.

Others are Emmanuel Ikechukwu, Agbo Lawrence, Favour Nwokedi, Christian Nwgia, George Maaki, Yina Terseem, Wilson Egwoba, Isaac Ukange and Precious Tseaa.

Items recovered by EFCC operatives included mobile phones, ATM cards, laptops, Lexus RX330, and Toyota Camry cars.

Uwujaren disclosed that the suspects had made useful statements and would be arraigned soon.
