Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested 24 suspected internet fraudsters on Wednesday at various locations in Benin City.
According to EFCC Spokesperson, Mr Dele Oyewale, the suspects were apprehended based on actionable intelligence regarding their suspected involvement in internet-related fraud.
“Items recovered from the suspects include 11 exotic cars, laptops, and phones.
“They will be charged to court once investigations are concluded, Oyewale said.
