●》Douglas Ogbankwa says: “I have been vindicated”
A High Court in Edo State, sitting in Benin Cityn has struck out a charge against a former publicity secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association-Benin Branch – Douglas Ogbankwa Esq.
This followed a nolle prosequi filed by the Attorney General of Edo State in Charge No. B/CD/60C/2025, dated 4th August, 2025.
An application was made by Mrs . Stella Okojie -Director in the Edo State Ministry of Justice leading other lawyers.
Douglas Ogbankwa Esq., who appeared for himself did not oppose.
The matter was eventually struck out by Presiding Judge, Hon Justice Helen Ogbevoen, ending 18 months of legal battle between the State and the Lawyer.

In a comment after the striking out of the case, Douglas Ogbankwa Esq said that he had been vindicated after the politically motivated charge fueled by the outgone Government of Governor Godwin Obaseki.
“The Law has eventually taken its course and justice is served in this matter “, Douglas Ogbankwa said.
