He anchored the decision to resign on profound concerns regarding the current state of governance within the party and the state.

He emphasized his commitment to the empowerment of youth and fostering development opportunities, “sentiments that appear to be at odds with the prevailing conditions in the area.”
Kayode inisiteeld that his decision to resign stemmed from his disillusionment with the party’s inability to address critical issues facing the state, including infrastructure deficiencies, inadequate access to essential services such as banking and tertiary education, and escalating insecurity characterized by rampant cases of kidnapping and violence.
He lamented the dire economic situation and the deteriorating quality of life experienced by the residents of Owan West LGA.
Drawing from his experiences abroad, where he witnessed effective governance models focused on infrastructure development, human capital investment, and job creation, Kayode underscored the urgent need for transformative leadership capable of addressing the pressing needs of the community.
His decision to resign from the PDP, according to him, reflected a principled stance driven by his conscience and a desire to effect positive change in Owan West LGA.

He thanked his supporters, sponsors, friends, and family for their unwavering encouragement and solidarity throughout his political journey.
His resignation underscores the growing discontent and calls for reform within the PDP.
His departure is likely to cause ripple effects in the party dynamics and may prompt introspection among its leadership regarding the need for substantive change and revitalization.
The resignation of Ahonsi Louis Kayode from the Peoples Democratic Party signifies a significant development in the political landscape of Owan West LGA, signaling a renewed urgency for responsive and accountable governance to address the pressing challenges facing the state.
