A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and immediate past member representing South South on the Board of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), Rotarian Simon Ogie, has congratulated Senator Monday Okpebholo on his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate.
In his congratulatory message, he described Senator Okpebholo as a tested politician who had the requisite experience to take Edo State to the next level of development.
The APC leader called on all party supporters and faithful to throw their weight behind Senator Okpebholo regardless of who they voted for at the primary poll to ensure that APC wins at the main election.
Rotarian Ogie also posited that the Edo Central-born Senator had demonstrated passion, patriotism, courage, and determination in the cause of building a prosperous and progressive Edo State.
According to him, “Senator Okpebholo’s wealth of experience will certainly be critical in APC’s continued efforts to attain a guaranteed and better Edo State.”
The notable politician also added that as true progressives, the party members must remain strong and more United than ever in pursuing the collective vision as a party that was ready to reclaim power towards building a State that could provide a decent life and livelihood for all Edo people.
