
A former Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba and eleven other aspirants have been cleared by the All Progressives Congress [APC] to contest for the party’s governorship ticket.
The primary election is scheduled to hold on February 17, 2024.
The mode of selection is direct primary election involving all registered and card-carrying members of the APC in Edo.
THE CONCLAVE esrlier reported that 45,000 verifiable card-carrying members of the party will determine who becomes the standard bearer of the party in the September 21, 2024 guber poll.
No aspirant who obtained the nomination form and made hinself available for the screening was disqualified or barred from the primary election.
Others, apart from Agba, who are in the race for the party’s ticket are Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Oserhiemen Osunbor, Monday Okpebholo, Ernest Umakhihe, Anamero Sunday Dekeri, Blessing Agbomhere, Godwin Ikhine, David Imuse, Charles Arhiavbere, Lucky Imasuen and Dennis Idahosa.
