The Catholic Archdiocese of Benin City, Edo State, has called on all Catholic faithful with Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) to go out THIS Saturday to exercise their civic right.
In a statement, the Archbishop of Benin Diocese, Augustine O. Akubeze, said it is through this means they could elect those who would govern them.
He said that every vote mattered and urged eligible voters not to stay at home.
His words: “Every vote matters; so, do not stay at home if you have your PVC. We encourage you to vote according to your well-informed conscience.”
The Archbishop also called on voters to resist voting based on financial inducements or sentiments.
He asked the youths not to allow anyone use them as instruments of violence.
